Wedding dress styles are constantly changing and every bride wants to look timeless, yet trendy on her wedding day.
Not too many women choose to wear their mom’s wedding dress and carry out the tradition.
There may be many reasons for this, the simplest being that you just doesn’t like the style, it doesnt fit properly and would have to be reconstructed, or it’s not in good shape since it’s been quite a few years since it’s been worn.
There are plenty of items that can be made with a wedding dress.
It’s always exciting when I get a request since the sky is the limit.
Here are some before and after pictures or what I was able to create.
The back of the dress was embellished with covered buttons recycled from mom’s bustle. The inside featured snaps, for easier opening.
One of my favorite parts was the beaded collar, since I used the original pearls.
I also made two baby blankets out of the train. The lace made it so interesting!
